Leading electrical manufacturer HPM Legrand introduces the Excel Life dual USB charging module designed to charge multiple mobile devices simultaneously at their maximum speed from the convenience of a powerpoint or switchplate.

Designed for speed and convenience, the new dual USB charging module addresses Australia’s high demand for charging mobile products in residential as well as commercial spaces. It also delivers superior energy efficiency and achieves the lowest possible standby power consumption of <0.15W.

The Legrand Excel Life dual USB charging module is ideal for residential applications including kitchens, bedrooms and home offices, as well as commercial spaces such as airport lounges, universities, schools, hospitality venues and retail stores. The smart design is perfectly matched for seamless integration, sitting flush with the coverplate.

Delivering a market-leading specification in USB charging with a 4.2A maximum total charging capacity at 2.1A (or 10W) per USB socket, this dual connection design allows charging of any combination of mobile devices, including two tablets, smart phones, digital cameras, MP3 players and GPS without the need for the original manufacturer’s charger.

The dual USB charging module is inserted into the extra hole of any single or double Legrand Excel Life powerpoint, or one to six gang switchplate configuration. The installation then simply involves wiring the Active and Neutral cables with the mains cable and inserting the charger into the wall cavity.

The surge protected dual USB charging module safeguards any connected mobile device from power surges and other voltage disturbances during charging. Overload protection also limits the current supplied to a mobile device in the event of a short circuit, protecting valuable devices from electrical damage.

Excel Life dual USB charging modules exceed the AS/NZS 4665 Standard relating to Performance of External Power Supplies with Level 5 compliance.
