Embracing all of the popular reclaimed timbers from Havwoods under one brand, Relik is sourced from two different mills – one British owned and the other Dutch – and includes both reproduction as well as genuine reclaimed timber products, in addition to a herringbone block and planks.
Reclaimed timber is preferred by many designers for the unique appearance it provides; however, this very lack of uniformity traditionally leads to difficult installation and high levels of wastage. A reliable supply of reclaimed timber is always a problem too.
Havwoods’ Relik range resolves this problem with prefinished engineered products that not only optimise the use of the finite resources of timber reclaimed from barns, quays and docks but also deliver easy-to-fit boards that are so stable they may even be used as flooring over underfloor heating.
Relik’s reproduction reclaimed timber products are now available in a more expanded range from Havwoods. Sawing, scraping, brushing and oiling make them works of art for the floor while a weathering process not only makes them look genuinely lived-in, but also extra tough since it strips out the soft tissues between the grain.
