Two wood flooring solutions from Havwoods were selected for a residential property in London during its renovation.
Located in the beautiful borough of Chelsea, the Farrier Walk project was a residential space in need of rejuvenation, with architect Nancy Gouldstone engaged by the owners to reimagine this characterful London home.
Havwoods was specified by the architect to provide a comprehensive wood flooring solution for both the ground and first floor that would remain in keeping with the property's heritage.
With a brief to create a feeling of spaciousness and make the ground floor appear brighter, a roof light was installed and a pale board was selected to help reflect more light around the space.
Lucerne Rustic from Havwoods Pureplank collection was chosen in a stunning herringbone design, these honey-toned engineered boards adding warmth and perfectly complementing the pale grey and white interiors.
For the first floor, Antique Rustic Versailles from the Henley range was specified, offsetting the existing antique furniture and helping to reintroduce a sense of place and history. These genuine reclaimed engineered boards feature a textured surface to further enhance depth and character.
The result is a stunning central London property, complete with a high-quality wood flooring solution that stays true to the building’s history.
