Extending the visual quality of your Enscape designs is now made easier with the official release of Enscape compatibility with V-Ray 6 for Revit.

Now 3D artists, designers, and architects who use both Enscape and V-Ray can simply transition their compatible Enscape assets, materials, and cloud configurations straight into V-Ray.

VP of the Visualisation Product Group for Enscape, Petr Mitev, explains how the new bridge between these two industry-leading visualisation tools will improve efficiency and access to ultra-realistic renderings.

“Going from real-time design to photoreal is now even faster and easier with the new compatibility between Enscape and V-Ray. Thanks to a simple handoff from one rendering tool to the other, artists can immediately see design decisions and Enscape data in V-Ray and quickly pick up where the design team finished.”

Accessing Enscape elements in V-Ray

With the latest release, users can transition the following information from Enscape into V-Ray for Revit without the need to start a scene from scratch. This will save designers time and allow them to focus more on fine-tuning their visualisations.

Library assets: All compatible Enscape library assets that are placed in a Revit model will be rendered with V-Ray without any additional settings setup. Place the assets in Enscape and render either with Enscape or V-Ray. If you decide to create ultra-realistic renderings, you no longer need to start over from scratch by deleting all the Enscape entourage and replacing them with new V-Ray assets.

Materials: With the click of a button, Enscape materials can either be automatically converted to V-Ray and rendered, or they can be promoted to the V-Ray Asset Editor, where they can be further enhanced with V-Ray parameters.

Cloud settings: Clouds that have been configured across Enscape visual presets can also be transferred to V-Ray in a single button click.

Importing into 3ds Max: Export an Enscape project from V-Ray to .vrscene for use as a ‘V-Ray Proxy’ in any product that hosts V-Ray, such as 3ds Max or Cinema4D.

Note: Enscape compatibility with V-Ray 6 for SketchUp and Rhino is also available!
