EBSA Pty Ltd received a Highly Commended nod at the 2021 AGWA Design Awards in the ‘Best Use of Windows & Doors, Glass & Glazing: Commercial Over $750,000’ category for the Penleigh & Essendon Grammar School project.

Penleigh & Essendon Grammar School (PEGS)

Working in collaboration with the architects, engineers and client from the early design phase, EBSA provided a full turnkey solution, supplying, installing and glazing 5 x 45m long operable glass roof systems, inclusive of all field cabling and smoke control panels necessary to interface with the fire and BMS systems.

EBSA’s solution replaced an earlier option for operable glass louvres and was able to satisfy the natural ventilation and smoke relief requirements for the school's new sports hall. EBSA delivered a modern, thermally efficient design using the PR60 system from Lamilux, which enhanced the building’s aesthetics and thermal performance, and satisfied the requirements of the fire engineers to provide smoke relief.

The PEGS project was also previously recognised at the D+H Atmosphere Awards, with EBSA receiving the Special Mention Innovation Award for the SHEV/CNV solution implemented.
