Home builder prefers Hebel products for sustainability and cost-competitiveness

    CSR Hebel

Sustainability, cost-competitiveness and waste minimisation onsite are some of the reasons why CSR Hebel products are a preferred choice at Indigo Homes.

Speaking on the evolution of the construction industry since he started over thirty-five years ago, Chris La Franchi, Director of Indigo Homes says he has witnessed quite a lot of change in that time, especially the way the industry has become a lot more efficient.

For instance, using Hebel products helps the company minimise waste creation onsite and build in a much more efficient way. Houses are also built much better now, says Chris.

Though construction industry stakeholders aim to build more sustainably now, the typically costly nature of environment-friendly products can be an issue. Indigo Homes is constantly looking for products that offer benefits in terms of sustainability and cost-competitiveness, which is why Hebel products are used by the builder.

The information about the ecological impact of Hebel on their website was a big consideration for Indigo Homes, given how the use of environment-friendly products helps boost sales. According to Chris, people are aware of the importance of sustainability and if they feel like they can do something to help the environment, and it’s not going to cost them too much, they’re generally happy to do it.

Chris is also glad that working with sustainable materials doesn’t have to compromise the look or feel of the houses built by Indigo Homes. Their clients often comment on the quality and consistency of the finish, and have also been very positive about the speed of installation.

Chris looks forward to many more exciting developments in the industry in the near-future, especially since there are so many new products coming to market that could change the way construction works. He foresees a tipping point in the next eighteen months with Hebel panels seeing a huge uptake, especially in the Queensland market.
