    Criterion systems meet acoustic design objectives at Kangan Batman TAFE training centre

    Several systems from Criterion Industries were specified for the new Kangan Batman TAFE Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) in Batman Drive, Docklands VIC to ensure a world-class training facility for students.

    Designed by Lyons Architects, the Kangan Batman TAFE Automotive Centre of Excellence (ACE) is the first dedicated automotive training facility in the southern hemisphere. Several sustainable design features have been integrated in the new ACE building to produce a landmark structure that delivers excellence in learning space, sustainability and occupancy comfort, all within the allocated budget.

    Kangan Institute is the state's largest provider of automotive training, and is committed to continually developing learning opportunities that reflect the skill demands of the competitive Victorian automotive industry. The automotive centre partners with industry leaders to provide students with access to world-class training facilities and teaching staff.

    With acoustics being prioritised for the new Automotive Centre of Excellence building, Criterion supplied aluminium framing and sliding doors; aluminium skirting; Panama sliding track systems; and Atlantic sliding tracks.
