The Platinum 90 aluminium partitioning suite and the Niagara sliding track system from Criterion Industries were used in the interior design fitout of the new Asciano office in Melbourne.

Asciano, Australia’s leading national rail freight and ports operator has brought their business divisions (Pacific National and Patrick Ports) together with the logistic service company at 476 St Kilda Road Melbourne.

The interior design focused on promoting Asciano by emphasising its brand and core business. From the refurbished shipping container used as a meeting room to their internal décor, everything about the fitout reflects their focus on transport infrastructure.

The overall impression is clean and simple, exuding an incredible amount of ‘wow’ factor. This has been achieved by incorporating timber wall cladding, modern furniture and fittings, quality floor coverings and tiles as well as the Platinum 90 aluminium partitioning suite and the Niagara sliding track system.

The Platinum 90 suite incorporates 64mm studs with 13mm plasterboard. This popular suite offers three glazing options: centre glazed, offset glazed and double glazed. Whilst centre glazed is most commonly used, the offset glazed option has created an expansive sensation through the Asciano executive offices and meeting rooms. All three glazing options in the Platinum Suite are interchangeable.

The Niagara sliding door system is one of the most reliable and durable sliding systems. It is being used extensively throughout corporate fitouts because of its ability to accommodate a range of doors and ease of installation. The Niagara roller assembly boasts a smooth operation with ball bearing wheels that can take up to 250kg door weight per roller set.
