An aluminium cladding system from Covet was recently installed at a new apartment development in Melbourne. Designed by KUD and developed by Shangyi Property, Spectrum Apartments makes a bold and contemporary statement in its entry lobby area with Covet’s Ever Artwood aluminium cladding system from Takasho Japan.

The designer chose the two-section ‘Kabebari’ system, which is designed for ease of installation and features concealed fixings. The material was pre-cut from shop drawings in Japan and involved over 600 battens with their unique textured Kuri-Masame finish adding to the realistic aesthetic.

Covet’s Ever Artwood aluminium cladding system was specified for the project by the designer and the client for various reasons including the product’s fire rating (AS/NZ 3837 - group 1), realistic timber aesthetic, and the precision and low maintenance aspects of the material.
