Britex was engaged by builders Monaco Hickey to manufacture and install specially fabricated stainless steel fixtures for the CSL Behring facility in Australia. CSL Behring is one of the world’s leading plasma protein biotherapeutic companies specialising in the manufacture of therapies for the treatment of rare and serious diseases.

Designed by A5 Architects, the $40 million project required a range of stainless steel fixtures that needed to be specially fabricated to meet the strict guidelines of the highly controlled sterile environment.

The Britex team led by project manager Scott Fowler worked closely with the architect and provided consultation on fabrication design methods that met these strict guidelines. Britex’s scope included generating shop drawings, providing consultation in fixture design, manufacturing each fixture, project managing and coordinating the production of fixtures, and installing the fixtures on site in conjunction with the primary contractor.

Stainless steel works and fixtures delivered for the project included stainless steel joinery, garment cabinets, process sinks (grates), protective clothing dispenser, wash basins, coat hooks/ shoe racks, shelving and benching, work stations and PC cupboards.
