Altair louvre windows available from Breezway were installed at a hilltop house built in a Climate Zone 5 area on the western foreshore slope of Clareville Beach.

Altair louvre windows have been incorporated into the home as an essential element of passive design to ensure energy efficiency throughout the hot summers and cool winters experienced in the region.

Altair floor-to-ceiling glass louvre windows were specified by Richard Cole Architecture throughout the contemporary residential project to assist with maximising the beautiful natural views, prevailing breezes and cross-flow ventilation. The project won a 2010 AWA award for ‘Best Use of Windows’ in a new residential construction.

Timber frames incorporating Altair louvre galleries with Low E glass blades provide protection from heat gain through low solar heat transmission while ensuring entry of good visible light. The louvre windows help to keep the home at a comfortable temperature, regardless of the time of day or season.
