Finalists have been announced for VIVID 2014, Australia’s longest running design competition for emerging designers.

Vibrant Vision in Design (VIVID) will return to Decor + Design from 10 July to 13 July 2014 with over 80 innovative pieces by 58 shortlisted designers to be put on display at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Southbank.

Once again, VIVID 2014 will give young emerging designers an appropriate platform to showcase their work in the presence of industry heavyweights. VIVID has over the years, provided the necessary support to over 600 designers with over 900 products to get their careers off the ground.

Curator Caroline Caneva joins VIVID in 2014 with over 10 years of experience within the Australian design industry. She is confident the talent and diversity of designs this year will impress visitors.

Finalists in this segment include Adam Lynch and Dale Hardiman (LAB DE STU) with Dr Spinner, a collection of Australian made spun metal pendant lights, and Rowan Page, Marinos Drake and Ilya Fridman (Studio Batch) with the Diagrid Pendant, a range of unique 3D printed hand dyed lights.
