Interface, the global flooring and sustainability leader, is making a multimillion-dollar investment at its Minto manufacturing plant in New South Wales. The investment is part of a strategic effort to enhance quality, efficiency, and sustainability across the company’s global carpet tile operations.

Updates to the facility include the installation of a new state-of-the-art packaging line and an advanced yarn prep system, reinforcing Interface’s ongoing commitment to delivering manufacturing excellence and leadership in design, sustainability, and performance.

“We have been producing carpet tile locally in South West Sydney for more than 50 years,” said Mark Dixon, Interface Operations Director – ANZ. “This strategic investment helps us continue that legacy and meet our customers’ needs, provide career opportunities for our employees, and stay true to our sustainability commitments.”

Driving quality and efficiency

With several projects already in process, Interface anticipates that most of the new equipment will be operational within the first half of 2026. Once complete, the updates to the Minto facility will:

Enhance production quality
Reduce yarn and packaging waste
Streamline manual processes and improve shipping efficiency
Provide advancement opportunities for employees in labour-intensive positions

As Interface’s product designs and colour palettes continue to evolve, the new technologies will also provide the company with greater flexibility to manage more complex ranges within its carpet tile portfolio.
