MNAQ (formerly BVAQ) is Australia and Southeast Asia’s market leader for food testing, inspection and certification services, providing the largest food microbiology and chemistry capabilities throughout the region.

Their laboratory conversion in North Melbourne required a reliable flooring solution with very specific needs. The floor cover had to be highly durable to withstand wear from equipment and staff. It also needed to be easy to clean and maintain, ensuring the highest hygienic standards. Extreme stain resistance was crucial and the flooring's light colouration was equally essential to easily show up spills, facilitating quick cleaning.

Gerflor’s Mipolam Ambiance Ultra Terra Ice Grey was the perfect solution, due to its top chemical and stain resistance in high traffic areas. Mipolam Ambiance is equipped with Evercare™, a patented surface treatment obtained by UV cross-linking laser that offers the best chemical resistance against alcohol, acid, alkaline, surgical agents and cleaning products.

The project covers a total area of 8000 sqm, of which 4000 sqm have already been installed and another 4000 sqm are to come. The installation was carried out by Inline Floors according to H2O architects’ specifications.
