Artist’s statement
Cloaked in illusion, anemones dance with mesmerising grace, yet their delicate tentacles conceal a potent, darker truth. This minimalistic aluminium sculpture reflects the anemones’ dichotomy – capturing an interplay of elegance and latent power. The space within beckons – step inside to be enveloped by nature’s beauty and quiet strength, feel the contradiction of intimacy and tension, experience the fragile balance where allure meets danger and softness meets resilience.
Sculpture at Bathers runs until April 21st at the historic Bathers Beach Art Precinct/Manjaree, including the indoor exhibition at WA Shipwrecks Museum.
