Studio Nine Architects has announced the promotion of Jaana Bithell to Principal, acknowledging the meaningful impact she has made within the practice and the leadership she demonstrates across both projects and team development.

In her role as Hospitality Sector Lead and Interior Design Team Lead, she has played an important part in shaping projects, mentoring team members and supporting the ongoing development of the business.

Bithell also strongly represents the studio’s core values, leading with integrity, care and a genuine commitment to supporting those around her. Within the practice, Jaana is widely regarded as a trusted mentor and a reliable source of guidance for many colleagues, recognised for her willingness to share knowledge and offer thoughtful support.

In addition to her project contributions, she has shown a clear dedication to strengthening the way the practice operates. She has actively contributed to improving systems and knowledge sharing across the studio, approaching this work with focus and determination to ensure meaningful and lasting benefits for the wider team.
