Why was Corian® chosen?
“Corian® was chosen for its aesthetic and seamless capabilities. Corian® is often used within medical facilities because of the increased cleanliness due to its seamless capabilities. We felt it was important to draw influence from all parts of our client’s profession; as such we wanted to use the material for familiarity. This is most evident in the seamless vanity unit tops and sinks in the refurbished amenities.”

Why was Corian® chosen?
“The Corian® reception desk is designed as a piece of ceiling, which was dislodged to create a skylight above, so the resulting shape is as if a solid piece of ceiling has been sawn off and lowered to the ground. The ability of Corian® to form a seamless surface that is durable, easy to clean and maintain in the long run, made it a clear choice for the team at Cullinan Ivanov Partnership.”

Why was Corian® chosen?
“Corian® was an obvious choice for us, as we needed something light, robust, beautiful, all with the ability to be effortlessly formed as well. Corian® was the only product that in its seamless way, could achieve all the design goals – from the pragmatic, to the aesthetic. There is repetition in the radius of the forms over the project; having the comfort in knowing that the radius would be replicated perfectly was critical given our design intent, and the level of detail needed for this project.”

This year’s overall Major Prize winners will receive a Corian® Creation, based on their own designs. The prize is valued up to $5,000 and can be any Corian® design chosen by the winners to be made to their specification by CASF Australia. The overall winners will also receive additional editorial and global exposure via the DuPont™ Network.
