Part of the Sanctuary masterplan, a major project framed by the Parramatta River and Sydney Olympic Park nature reserve, Laguna & Glade includes two mid-rise towers, a new neighbourhood park and wellness facility.

The new precinct introduces a Neighbourhood Green, a central open space featuring water play, communal BBQs, a dog wash and lush lawns, alongside Revive: a three-storey wellness hub with a pool, gym, sauna and spa exclusively for all Sanctuary residents to enjoy.

“This new phase delivers much-needed green space and public domain for Wentworth Point, which extends the green surrounds through the community,” says James McCarthy, Director at Turner, the practice responsible for Laguna & Glade.

“It reinforces Sanctuary’s ethos of parkside living where every home is linked to nature. The design reflects the maturing demographic of Wentworth Point, where families seek the space, light and functionality of a home with the convenience of apartment living.”

Yvette Olsen, Senior Associate at Turner, says Revive was conceived as a focal point within the Sanctuary precinct, a shared well-being space that extends the residential offering, beyond the apartments.

“While the precinct already features expansive public areas such as the parklands, riverfront and foreshore, Revive introduces a more intimate retreat,” she notes.

“Its indoor lap pool, spa, sauna and gym create a serene sanctuary where residents can unwind, recharge and reconnect in a peaceful space.”

According to Olsen, several design features strengthen the connection to nature and enhance relaxation.

“External bronze awnings and screens provide shading and privacy, while large glazing panels open up views to the park and river. Curved internal walls evoke natural movement, and a palette of warm, neutral tones brings a sense of quiet luxury,” she says.

Revive also features a bespoke public artwork created by Turner’s Experiential Design team in collaboration with Indigenous artist Yukupin.

The artwork features earthy ochre tones by day, and coloured LED lights by night, that respond to the six Indigenous seasons and native local flora.

Planned for a 2030 completion date, the masterplan will eventually include around 2,000 homes, retail and community amenities and expansive open spaces connected by green corridors.
