Entries for the 2025 Australian Good Design Awards are now open. This year’s theme invites designers, architects and creatives to showcase their vision for progress. Whether it’s designing better buildings, spaces, products, experiences, services, or systems, the Awards provide a platform for those who push boundaries and redefine excellence.

For more than 65 years, the Australian Good Design Awards have set the benchmark for design excellence and innovation. Recognising outstanding achievements across architecture, interiors, product design, digital experiences, branding and more, these Awards celebrate the most forward-thinking designers, creators and visionaries shaping the built environment and beyond.

New for 2025: Concept Design Discipline

This year introduces the Concept Design discipline, celebrating the power of ideas in shaping the future. This category welcomes early-stage concepts, pre-production projects, and forward-thinking designs across all disciplines. Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, it highlights design's critical role in fostering a sustainable and equitable future.

The Good Design Tick™ – A Mark of Excellence

Winning a Good Design Award grants recipients the prestigious Australian Good Design Award, more commonly known as the Good Design Tick – a globally recognised symbol of design excellence, innovation and quality. This trusted mark gives award-winning designs instant credibility and ensures they stand out in a competitive market.

The Awards are judged by a panel of international experts who assess projects based on good design innovation and impact. Winning projects are showcased as examples of design excellence, making a lasting impression on the industry and beyond.
