CSR Gyprock®, Australia's leading manufacturer of gypsum-based products, is proud to announce that entries are now open for the 2026 'I'm A Gyprocker' Awards.

Marking a landmark 10th year, this year's program is the biggest in the awards’ history – with 13 award categories, over $130,000 in prizes up for grabs, and a year-long program, celebrating the skill, dedication and craftsmanship that define Australia's plastering trade.

"Ten years ago, we set out to give Gyprockers the recognition they deserve, and the response from the industry since then has been extraordinary," said Renee McGinty, General Manager, Gyprock Marketing. "This milestone year is our opportunity to celebrate not just the winners, but every plasterer who takes pride in their craft. We can't wait to see what Australia's best Gyprockers submit this year."

The ‘I'm a Gyprocker’ Awards recognise and reward the great work that Australia’s plastering trade achieve with Gyprock products. “Plastering is not a formally accredited trade in the way that electrical or plumbing work is, and the skill of the plasterer is often overlooked,” McGinty continued. “Year on year, the program has grown, with past winners saying the recognition has had a real impact on their businesses and their pride in the trade.”

Calvin Luo, Director of Regno Plasterer and a past I'm A Gyprocker Award winner, said the experience was transformative for his team. "Our whole team’s never been prouder of their craft and the work we do. Morale has soared, and we've also seen an increase in potential business leads, all thanks to receiving the highest recognition in our industry."

Past winner Ben Stewart of Ben Stewart Plastering in Tasmania echoed the sentiment, saying winning brought recognition of his work and high standards, and had already helped bring in more work.

The 2026 program features 13 award categories, each carrying a prize pack worth $10,000:

Each $10,000 prize pack includes a $6,000 Prezzee Smart eGift Card along with prize bundles from Nela, HB Fuller, Wallboard Tools, Makita, TradeMark Wholesale, Mirka, Saint Gobain Norton, and CSR Gyprock, plus a winner's trophy and seven I'm A Gyprocker Winner T-shirts.

Now in its second year, the Apprentice Gyprocker of the Year category shines a light on the next generation of tradespeople entering the plastering industry, a timely focus, with recent research from the National Centre for Vocational Education and Research (NCVER) showing more than 90% of trade apprenticeship completers move straight into employment[1].

Entries close 30 June 2026, with category winners announced daily from 22 July to 6 August 2026 via imagyprocker.com.au and Gyprock's Instagram account @csrgyprock. People's Choice voting will run on Instagram from 17 to 20 July.
