Tuffrail® industrial handrails enhance safety, accessibility and compliance at Brown Brothers Winery

For the upgrades at the fourth generation wine business in Milawa VIC, Tuffrail® industrial handrails were specified to increase safety while improving accessibility and compliance with Australian Standards. Located in Milawa, nestled in the breathtaking King Valley in Victoria, Brown Brothers Winery has established themselves as one of the most highly-regarded, family-owned wine businesses. Spanning four generations, they are an undeniable part of winemaking culture in Australia.

As part of essential upgrades to the winery, Moddex was selected to collaborate on the project to supply our Tuffrail® industrial handrails. The project was designed and engineered by Connex Group, and overseen by SJ Steel Junction.

The upgrades were commissioned to expand the access walkways and handrails of the commercial-grade winemaking vats, securing a safer work environment, and improving accessibility and compliance in accordance with Australian Standards.

Why was Moddex product selected?

As an extension of a high-risk area of the winemaking vats, the upgrades required upmost attention to detail and punctual delivery without delays. Moddex’s innovative modular system was selected because we best suited the needs of the job, the client and the contractor.

With no welding required and fast installation times, the contractor was able to eliminate additional onsite fabrication costs and offer more value to the client. Our pre-configured systems ensured that the job was low risk, compliant and low cost. The innovative nature of our modular systems means that our barriers are able to be modified to cater for any unique requirements. Our parts may also be replaced if they were ever damaged.
