The Hansgrohe Group received awards in two categories at the German Sustainability Projects 2025 Awards ceremony in Berlin. The company won recognition for Corporate Strategy and Production as well as the ‘Recycling of Galvanised Plastics’ project.

The award is presented by the German Institute for Service Quality, ntv, and DUP UNTERNEHMER magazine, under the patronage of Brigitte Zypries, former Federal Minister of Germany. The aim is to highlight sustainable commitment and inspire others to take action themselves.

Recycling galvanised plastics at the Offenburg site

The Hansgrohe Group shows how sustainability can be integrated into industrial processes in concrete terms. At its Offenburg/Elgersweier site, the company operates a recycling plant for chrome-plated plastic components that is unique worldwide. The plant strips ABS plastics and feeds them directly back into the production of new parts on site. This creates a closed material cycle that conserves resources and reduces the burden on the environment.

Strategy for green transformation

In addition to the production project, Hansgrohe's sustainability strategy, ‘Hansgrohe's Path to Green Transformation’, was also recognised. The strategy includes the ECO 2030 initiative, which aims to equip all Hansgrohe water-carrying products with water- and energy-saving technologies by 2030. The goal is to reduce water and energy consumption and contribute to climate change adaptation.

Sustainability as a team effort

The Hansgrohe Group sees sustainability as a collective task. Around 5,400 employees worldwide – 60 percent of whom are based in Germany – are working to combine ecological responsibility with high product quality. The award recognises this commitment and the company's innovative strength.
