Committed to sustainable manufacturing and construction

Bildspec is dedicated to advancing sustainable practices across every facet of our operations:

Ethical material sourcing: We prioritise suppliers who uphold sustainable forestry practices. All timber-based components are sourced from responsibly managed forests.

Low-impact adhesives: We use water-based adhesives derived from natural or soluble synthetic polymers, reducing harmful emissions and environmental toxicity.

Carbon-conscious aluminium: Our aluminium is supplied by companies committed to delivering lower-carbon aluminium and achieving Net Zero emissions through cutting-edge operational efficiencies and green technologies.

Resource recovery and recycling: Bildspec ensures all aluminium and steel offcuts are responsibly recycled. Cardboard packaging is reused up to four times, significantly reducing waste. We partner with Visy Packaging, an industry leader in closed-loop manufacturing and circular economy initiatives.

Sustainable acoustic solutions: We collaborate with acoustic suppliers such as Autex Acoustics, whose operations are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. These partners prioritise the use of recycled materials, track and reduce their carbon emissions, and limit VOCs in finishes to improve indoor air quality.

Low-VOC paints and finishes: Bildspec actively recommends paint and finish suppliers who prioritise low-VOC formulations, contributing to healthier indoor environments and reduced environmental impact.

Supporting informed specification

We work closely with architects, designers, and project specifiers during the early design phase to recommend material selections that not only meet performance criteria (acoustic, thermal, structural) but also contribute meaningfully to project sustainability targets. This includes guidance on materials that enhance thermal efficiency and lower operational carbon output.
