Interface, Inc., the global flooring and sustainability leader, introduces Between the Notes™, a new carpet tile collection inspired by the rhythm, harmony, and movement of music. Designed for expansive, open floorplans, Between the Notes supports a variety of commercial environments. Designers can experiment with scale and pattern across workplaces, education spaces, senior living interiors, and more with the collection’s three co-ordinating styles.

Taking cues from sound waves, staccato notes, and crescendos, Between the Notes transforms interiors into visual symphonies. Distinct patterns and expressive colour create spaces that capture a range of feelings, from energetic to calm. The collection supports smooth transitions, defines zones, and guides movement without harsh lines. The result is spaces that feel intuitive and inviting, whether designed for collaboration or focus.

“Designers are increasingly creating spaces that feel expressive, immersive, and emotionally connected,” said Kelly Simcox, Head of Global Design at Interface. “Between the Notes reflects that trend. With this collection, every space feels composed. Designed for the way people live, work, and move, it balances bold visuals with the performance and flexibility needed for today’s commercial interiors.”

Between the Notes: Music-inspired carpet collection

Between the Notes brings form, colour, and texture to the floor with styles that express individuality. The collection features three co-ordinating products, including:

Overtone™: Layered patterns and expressive colour create the feeling of sound waves moving across the floor.

Soft Measure™: Inspired by staccato notes, subtle texture creates a soft, woven appearance that adds depth and continuity for larger floorplates.

Tempo Trace™: Large-scale visuals and dotted textural details create a sense of flow and forward motion without overwhelming the interior.

The collection is also designed with sustainability in mind. Interface offers the lowest carbon footprint carpet tiles in the commercial flooring industry. The company makes it easier for designers to make aesthetic decisions that also support sustainability commitments and performance requirements.
