With our company expanding, we need a comprehensive business management solution that allows for future efficiencies and best-in-class practices to propel us to the next level, cementing our position as a leading sustainable manufacturer and service provider.

Built to grow and adapt to our staff and customer needs, as well as to whatever the future will throw at us, the new software is providing a simpler and safer process bettering everyone’s experience. The inbuilt AI solutions encourage optimal performance, enhance decision-making and suggest ways to improve processes, combining them in one fluid system.

The innovative software links financials, supply chain, operations, commerce, reporting, manufacturing, and human resources to minimise time and complications spent on various differing systems, providing end-to-end supply chain transparency. The simple customisation and productivity tools strip our organisation of unnecessary complexity, allowing for flexibility for our staff and quick solutions for our customers, such as offering suitable alternative products should requested options not be available.

Enabling us to monitor stock in real time allows for more accurate state based outlooks and stock ups, better fulfilling our customers’ expectations of short processing and delivery times, and helping maintain our competitive edge.

The back-up through the cloud means nothing can get lost, ensures continuous updates with the latest data security systems and allows access from everywhere.

Cloud sustainability helps us look after future generations

Sustainability has always been in Galvin Engineering’s DNA and guided us since 1930. With our recent commitment to reducing our carbon footprint by 25% by 2025, combined with the introduction of an ESG strategy we have ramped up our efforts another notch. The new cloud-based digital system supports us in this quest as all information is connected and stored in one place, leading to less printing and waste.

Inherently cloud-based solutions reduce carbon emissions by using fewer servers more efficiently. Looking after future generations in the community as well as in our own company instils confidence in our staff, partners and customers to put their trust in us today and in the future.

The driving force behind this move was initiated by the fourth generation of the Galvin family, brothers Tim and Tom. Both are passionate to safely lead the company into the future ensuring it will flourish for another 90+ years. While executive director and head of IT Tim Galvin is working on setting the framework to enable best efficiency of our IT&C systems, Tom (heading our environmental committee – the ‘Green Team’) is paving the way to highly sustainable operations.

Most importantly, the implementation of Business Central allows us to focus on what we do best – creating innovative water solutions for a healthier environment for many generations to come.
