Mood board 1

Octagon & Dot

Mood board one centres around the tessellated ‘Octagon & Dot’ design in shades of brown, red, vanilla and white. All four colours work harmoniously and present a level of sophistication and warmth to this mood board. Shown here with a Windsor border, this tessellation works perfectly with the play of colours when applied together. Adding craquelle Victorian subway tiles in brown and red also delivers a classical effect. These tile solutions work flawlessly as a wall application and are perfect for a Victorian period bathroom. Alternatively, applying tessellated Octagon & Dot to a pathway and adding Bowral bricks as a finishing touch really bring exterior spaces to life.

Mood board 2

Balmain

Mood board two centres around tessellated design ‘Balmain’, a stunning pattern that creates an optical illusion with the play of colours. These colours are brown, vanilla, white and red, bringing a rich and sophisticated vibe to this mood board. The border added to this tessellation design is called ‘Deco’, presenting a hint of Art Deco design to this pattern design. Balmain has a complex geometry and often requires a large area to maximise the impact of the pattern. This tessellation works best on verandas, pathways and commercial spaces. The dark brown kit kat finger mosaics work perfectly with Balmain tessellation, and could be applied on a bar, kitchen splashback or outdoor feature wall. Alternatively, craquelle subway tiles can be applied to a wall as they are durable and water-resistant, making them perfect for indoor and outdoor use. The colour palette for this mood board includes shades of brown, taupe, maroon, umber and beige. Introducing metal fixtures in gold, brass and rose gold into a space really brings these colours to pop and resonate with audiences.

Mood board three has a more modern take on tessellation as this contemporary pattern design ‘Harrington’ can be seen in commercial and residential settings in a perfect flooring application. The Norwood border shown here completes this tessellated design, adding a touch of freshness. The limestone step tread adds to the finishing detail and works well with this colour palette. The colours are brown, red, and vanilla in a perfect sombre palette that brings a hint of nature into the design. Materials such as linen can be in terracotta browns and taupe colours to complement this tessellation. For that extra touch, gold and brass metal fixtures can be added to this mood board.

Nottingham

Mood board four introduces ‘Nottingham’ tessellated tiles in an authentic Victorian design reworked in brown, red, salmon and white with an encaustic design to add that extra touch. Shown here with a Newcastle border, this tessellation presents a classical design where a white with brown fleck terrazzo can be added as a step tread. Whether you’re designing for your exterior or interior space, you can always add craquelle Victorian subways as a wall application as they are highly durable and moisture-resistant. Also, adding brass, gold or rose gold metal fixtures and fittings to your working space brings a warm element to your design.
