Perth-based architecture studio Carabiner has formally joined Architectus, extending the national design practice’s reach in Australia and strengthening its expertise in three key sectors driving growth in community-focused design projects.

With more than three decades of experience delivering public and community architecture across Western Australia, Carabiner has built a strong reputation for projects ranging from community recreation and high-performance sporting facilities to innovative learning environments and major health developments.

The 21-person practice is recognised for its collaborative and people-centred design approach that prioritises creating long-term value and positive social outcomes through their projects.

The integration comes at a time of heightened investment in public and community infrastructure, including major sporting and civic developments across Australia ahead of the Brisbane Olympics, strengthening Architectus’ capabilities in supporting the delivery of major legacy projects currently underway.

The Carabiner team will join the Architectus Perth studio, located in Harry Seidler’s iconic QV1 building, in the new year.
