As the need for sustainable design grows more urgent, Architecture & Design is proud to partner with the Green Building Council of Australia for Green Building Day 2025 — a national series that transforms bold ideas into practical outcomes.

Running from May 20 to June 26, Green Building Day will visit Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, offering targeted insights for professionals working on or planning Green Star projects. With a strong focus on case studies, practical tools, and collaborative learning, this year’s program tackles key themes like circular procurement, refrigerant use, and embodied carbon innovation.

“What sets Green Building Day apart is how it fuses high-level vision with real-world case studies,” says Architecture & Design editor Branko Miletic. “We’re thrilled to support an event that doesn’t just talk about sustainability, but shows how it's being built — literally — across Australia. Personally, I’m looking forward to attending and engaging with professionals who are challenging the status quo and proving what design can truly achieve.”

Each city’s agenda is tailored to local challenges and breakthroughs. In Brisbane, learn from the transformation of the North Shore Hamilton precinct, a standout in urban renewal. Adelaide features the technically sophisticated 60 King William Street, a benchmark for carbon-neutral design. Melbourne turns the spotlight on 90 Melbourne Drive, an all-electric logistics facility leading the way in industrial sustainability. In Perth, Murdoch Place exemplifies sustainable mixed-use community outcomes, while Sydney brings it home with modular innovation and Indigenous-informed placemaking at First Building, Bradfield City Centre.

Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of the conversation driving Australia’s sustainable future. Join any of the events by registering through the Green Building Council of Australia’s website.
