The namesake studio was given considerable creative freedom to reinterpret the existing warehouse, bringing a highly resolved workplace and expansive wellness offering together under one roof.

“What interested me was the duality of the brief – JAGGAD is a fast-paced fashion business, so the office carries an inherent energy; yet the gym, recovery and wellness spaces needed to sit alongside without either feeling secondary to each other,” says Edward.

“It speaks to a much broader shift in how we live and work in 2026, where wellness is no longer confined to an hour of the day, but increasingly informs how we work, move and structure our everyday lives.”

Edward approached the project with the same rigour he brings to his residential work, using material and tonal shifts to temper the volume of the original warehouse, establishing a more human scale.

Rather than relying on overt gestures, the design builds through accumulation: stone, timber, terrazzo and residential-style lighting layered against a restrained architectural framework.

Pilbara Dolomite stone emerges as a defining material, its natural variation bringing depth to the predominantly neutral palette, while terrazzo carrying charcoal and blue tones introduces a cooler counterpoint.

Light timber finishes and tactile flooring add warmth, punctuated by deep red accents that intensify into fully saturated rooms, bringing moments of richness and drama to the otherwise quiet composition.

Though minimal in its aesthetic, closer inspection reveals the sophistication of Edward’s detailing and his intent to imbue the project with the level of craft associated with residential interiors.

Softly curved timber joinery echoes the circular forms repeated throughout the interior, while stacked marble corners introduce an almost furniture-like quality to fixed elements.

Rendered walls further temper the commercial character of the building, while restrained splashback tiling in the bathrooms provides a quiet backdrop to the more expressive veining of the marble benchtops.

Australian-made products and locally sourced materials were prioritised where possible, with each selection integrated into the broader composition to maintain a sense of cohesion across the interior. This same discipline extends to the spatial planning, where visual order was fundamental to Edward’s approach in creating a sense of calm and clarity across the expansive floorplate.

Wellness becomes embedded within the architecture rather than treated as supplementary amenity. A full cardio and strength gym, Pilates studio and sled track sit alongside cold plunge facilities, a Sunlighten infrared sauna, infrared recovery room and dedicated recovery lounge, allowing movement and restoration to become central to the working day.

The relationship between collective and private settings was equally resolved. The principal work zone retains a sense of connection and visibility, while meeting pods and private rooms introduce moments of compression and seclusion.
