CW-SI Spandrel Insulation offers a thermal insulation performance that limits heat transfer through the spandrel zone, helping achieve specified thermal resistance values. It helps prolong the performance of the curtain wall spandrel assembly by preventing the compartmentation line provided by CW-FS Firestop at the perimeter joint from being breached and reduces the likelihood of fire from breaking out through the spandrel panel itself.

Features

· Can be supplied in a single package with CW-FS Firestop, CW-FB Fireboard and all ancillaries if required to streamline the procurement process.
· Included in non-fire rated assemblies subjected to ASTM E2307 and ASTM E2874 fire testing.

Technical information

·      Supplied in slab form at 2000 x 1200mm, which is of benefit when the size of the spandrel panel is unknown or where it varies significantly. Slabs pre-cut to custom sizes can also be made to order
·      Complies with the requirements of ASTM C612.
· Euroclass A1 to EN 13501-1.
·      Available in three thicknesses to suit different performance specifications:
o   CW-SI50 at 50mm with an R-value of 1.471 m²·K/W.
o   CW-SI75 at 75mm with an R-value of 2.205 m²·K/W.
o   CW-SI100 at 100mm with an R-value of 2.941 m²·K/W.
