A new generation of principals has joined the experienced leadership team at leading Australian architecture practice, Silver Thomas Hanley (STH) to help drive the next phase of growth.

The current directors, Ernest Girardi (managing director), Aija Thomas (founding director), Melina Thomas and Natalie Pitt will be joined by an expanded leadership group drawn from their Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne studios.

“I am very excited that we have been able to make this public announcement today. As we move into the next phase of the practice’s growth, our expanded leadership team will allow us to continue to provide excellence in design and project delivery for our clients,” Girardi said.

“Throughout 2020 our principals have guided the establishment of a national workforce, which for the first time has allowed us to fully leverage the extensive experience and resources of the STH group across multiple jurisdictions. With our expanded leadership group comes great promise and renewed confidence as we usher in a new era of exemplary client service and project innovation,” he added.

In the STH Adelaide studio, Evan Hayes and Jeremy Kelly have been appointed as principals. Hayes and Kelly will continue to lead and manage the Adelaide studio where they have established quality benchmarks for project design and delivery.

In the STH Sydney studio, Bill Kaloudis and Brent Railton have been appointed as principals. Kaloudis and Railton will continue to lead and manage the Sydney studio where they have positioned STH at the forefront of the industry.

In the STH Melbourne studio, Maxim Bachimov, Fred Lau, Simona Sarca and Ian Wong have been appointed as principals. Bachimov, Lau, Sarca and Wong will continue to provide studio leadership and management in STH’s Melbourne studio together with excellence in design, project delivery and client service.

Additionally, STH announces the appointment of Stuart Turk as the practice’s national Clinical Health Planner. He brings to the STH studios extensive healthcare knowledge together with major project expertise that will enhance the firm’s project service offering.
