Adelaide-based practice Matthews Architects has made two appointments to its team, with Yvonne Rantzen appointed Senior Interior Designer, while Kevin Leek joins the team as Senior Architect.

With a number of projects either being completed or in the pipeline for the practice, Matthews Architects’ Senior Architect and Managing Director Gerald Matthews says Yvonne and Kevin’s appointments come at a positive time for the firm.

“Matthews Architects currently has a number of exciting projects underway and a strong pipeline of
projects coming up, so we’re thrilled to further strengthen our architecture and design teams in response to this,” he says.

“Yvonne and Kevin both bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and leadership – they will be a great asset to our firm, ensuring Matthews remains at the forefront of architecture in South Australia.”

A multi-award winning Interior Designer, Rantzen has 25 years’ experience in delivering complex large projects across the education, commercial, health, care and residential sectors.

Rantzen has significant experience leading teams from briefing and concept design, through to contract documentation and construction.

In her new role, Rantzen will oversee the interior design team at Matthews Architects and lead the delivery of a number of major projects including a new mixed development on the Anzac Highway.

Kevin Leek joins the Matthews Architects team as Senior Architect with more than 25 years of local and international experience.

Prior to his appointment, he’s also held roles with Anderson Orr Partnership in England and South African-based studios Arthur Austin Architects and Lochner Loots Architects.
