Warren and Mahoney has announced the acquisition of Lisa Chung AM, who will begin her role as an Independent Director to the practice’s Board of Directors from 1st August 2021.
The Australian-based Chung will join Richard Leggat as its second independent director as the practice continues to grow through partnerships with clients such as Lendlease, Google and state and local government entities.
Warren and Mahoney’s Chair, Graeme Finlay, says that as the practice continues to expand its geographic reach and influence, Chung will play a crucial part in bolstering the diversity of perspectives that help govern the business.
“Lisa brings extensive senior and board-level experience across key sectors including commercial property and infrastructure; professional services; creative arts and social and community services. She joins the practice at a time when we are succeeding in building a strong, sustainable future for the business and being invited to design significant commissions in Australia and beyond.”
Embarking on a career in law including as partner at Maddocks Lawyers, Lisa has been contributing to private and ASX listed boards for the past two decades. The directorship position at Warren and Mahoney will be her tenth, and is also currently serving on the boards for Australian Unity, Artspace/Visual Arts Centre and the Sherman Centre for Culture and Ideas. Chung previously held the role of Chairman for international property consultancy firm Urbis, advising on the use, development, investment and governance of property, cities and communities.
Chung is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the Australian Institute of Managers and Leaders and a member of the AICD’s NFP Chairs Forum and Chief Executive Women. Lisa is a member of the Order of Australia (General Division) due to her services to the community.
The new Independent Director says she is relishing the future opportunities that lie ahead.

To couple the announcement of Chung being made an Independent Director, Warren and Mahoney’s Principal, Shareholder and Executive Leader, Andrew Barclay has also made the commitment to divide his time evenly between Sydney and Auckland as both the Sydney and Melbourne studios go from strength to strength.
