Hames Sharley has announced the appointments of two new Senior Interior Designers for their Perth studio, with Ben Fetherstonhaugh and Jessica Green stepping into the roles.

Joining as a multi-disciplinary designer, Fetherstonhaugh has worked within a range of architecture and interior design contexts, bringing experience of several projects within workplace and retail interiors from across Australia to Hames Sharley.

The designer was also the recipient of the Australian Interior Design Awards for Commercial Workplace in 2018 and later received an award for product design in 2019 from the Design Institute of Australia.

Hames Sharley also appointed Senior Interior Designer Jessica Green earlier this month. Originally from Perth, Green has spent the last few years working in Melbourne, most recently with Carr.

Green draws on design and delivery experience across various projects sizes and sectors. She has previously developed unique Activity Based Workplace environments, boutique hotels spaces, destination commercial client floors and executive offices.

Interiors Principal Hollie Raymond-Baker says the appointments will enhance the capabilities of the Perth studio for future projects.

“An exciting milestone for our team, increasing our depth and capability in concept design and exceptional project execution,” she says.

Workplace Portfolio Leader Stephen Moorcroft says that while the appointments have been made out of necessity, the work of Fetherstonhaugh and Green will further the reputation of the practice in Perth.

“These appointments are in response to a growing interiors workload in Perth and are also due to the relocation of senior design talent to our Melbourne studio as our team broadens its sector coverage nationally.”

The announcement from Hames Sharley comes as the firm prepares to move to its new premises in Perth’s Hay Street Mall.
