A new student accommodation initiative led by renowned global hospitality and hotel accommodation operator GCP Hospitality and award-winning design studio, Woods Bagot, is currently under development in Perth. The co-living student hub will accept students – both domestic and international – from early 2019.

Located at 80 Stirling Street, Campus Perth provides international and domestic students with an inner city student accommodation option, with the design based on the idea of community. The building seamlessly integrates spaces for students to live, socialise, study, learn and collaborate across 11 floors.

Campus Perth will offer flat sharing style apartments of four and six bedrooms, spacious rooms for two, and private studio apartments. Common features across all rooms include high-speed Wi-Fi, lockable drawers, ensuite bathrooms, individual study desks, card access doors and USB charging hubs.

GCP Hospitality chief marketing officer, Marc Bichet, who worked closely with the Woods Bagot design team, says Campus Perth represents the next generation of student accommodation as it blurs the lines between traditional student accommodation and a co-living space.

“We coupled GCP Hospitality’s experience and knowledge of international design and lifestyle trends within hotels, restaurants and co-working environments, with Woods Bagot's local insight and global practice in experiential architecture to create a space that celebrates all realms of student living and encapsulates the Campus brand.”

Woods Bagot's Perth hotel sector leader and Campus Perth interior design project leader, Eva Sue, describes the new building as a series of unique, future focused and inspiring design-led spaces that represent the next-gen evolution of student accommodation.

“The design takes a ‘hyperlocal’ approach with an emphasis on delivering customised, unique and authentic experiences to Campus Perth by commissioning local art and creating integrated spaces to host events and cultural activities,” she says.

Campus Perth rates are inclusive of all accommodation fees, government rates, legal fees, management fees, electricity and water, hi-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, access to washers and dryers and 24/7 security.

A dedicated Campus Guru will be on hand to help foster a community atmosphere with a schedule of planned social events, including movie and games nights, potluck dinners and yoga classes.
