Now in its 90th year, leading Queensland company Everhard Industries has continuously evolved over its long history, from its start in manufacturing precast concrete laundry tubs during the 1920s to introducing a series of innovations in polymer and metal bowls and cabinets for the laundry segment ever since.  Everhard’s design focus is reflected across its product range, enabling architects, designers and specifiers to easily integrate the various elegant options into their plans without compromising on function, utility or convenience.

Traditionally the least thought of room in the house, the laundry is now coming into its own with more consideration and care dedicated to its design.  While in-bench sinks and cabinetry are gaining popularity, the need for the traditional laundry tub still remains strong for both new builds and renovations.  With laundry units increasingly being aligned with modern kitchen decor, the Excellence range addresses the design challenges of creating a functional room that is also a pleasure to be in by offering architects an alternate colour choice to the standard laundry unit on offer.

Everhard’s Excellence laundry units

The Excellence laundry unit collection is a revolutionary development in laundry furnishing from Everhard Industries, combining a stylish European design aesthetic with versatile, functional features that are expected in a laundry unit. The Excellence Bold and Storm collections are available in 30-litre and 45-litre models in a choice of round and square bowls, but it is the cabinet that really differentiates them from the crowd.  Both ranges in the Excellence collection feature a galvanised metal cabinet in Bronzed Charcoal coloured powder coating with the Bold range boasting a Brushed Stainless Steel front panel and door.

Key features of the Excellence collection also include a chrome door handle, left or right hand opening door, adjustable feet, internal floor and a 50mm basket waste.  The washing machine hose can be threaded through the by-pass at the top of the bowl or connected to the waste through the pre-punched holes in the side of the cabinet.

Dimensions of Excellence Bold and Storm collections

When considering laundry units in housing design, the ubiquitous 45L Laundry unit with square bowl that corresponds with the Bold and Storm’s dimensions of 565mm wide by 515mm deep and 870mm high are the ones that most commonly come to mind.  This size and capacity is popular due to the proven benefits of the generous bowl proportions and cabinet capacity.  In those same dimensions, but for those projects that require a little extra allure, the 30L round bowl made from spun stainless steel with a highly polished finish is an appealing option that brings some unexpected glamour to the laundry.

Trends in residential design indicate a shift to smaller, more compact living spaces that are easier to manage and maintain. Designing compact homes and apartments can be challenging for architects and designers who are expected to deliver full-featured stylish layouts in a much smaller space. However, manufacturers of home appliances and equipment are also beginning to see the big opportunity in the small housing segment by introducing new product lines that not only address the functionality factor but also meet the aesthetic design expectations of both architects and homeowners.  This is where the 30L square bowl versions of the Storm and Bold laundry units fit the brief.   At 395mm wide by 570mm deep and 870mm high, these compact units provide a stylish option for smaller laundries, particularly those in unit and townhouse complexes.

Assured durability with lifetime warranty

Everhard Industries’ Excellence laundry units are covered by a lifetime warranty for both the metal cabinet and the stainless steel bowl, assuring lasting performance and good looks. A 1-year manufacturer’s warranty is also provided for the plug and wastes, and hinges and rods.
