The Lendlease Samsung Bouygues Joint Venture (LSBJV), comprising Lendlease Engineering, Samsung C&T Corporation and Bouygues Construction has been selected by the NSW Government to deliver the mainline tunnels of the WestConnex M4-M5 Link project.

The M4-M5 Link mainline design and construct contract includes delivery of twin tunnels which will link the New M4 at Haberfield with the New M5 at St Peters, allowing the full benefits of a continuous and integrated WestConnex motorway to be realised.

The joint venture comprises some of the most experienced tunnelling engineers in Australia and brings experience and capability delivering road tunnel projects in Sydney, across Australia and throughout Asia, the Middle-East and Europe.

Craig Laslett, CEO of Engineering and Services, Lendlease says, “The M4-M5 Link is a critical project that will drive Sydney’s economic growth, deliver new jobs and training opportunities, and provide a vital link between growing communities in inner and western Sydney.”

“This will mean quicker travel times for more people and easier movement of goods for businesses, making life easier for Sydneysiders,” he says.

According to Youngho Lee, CEO of Samsung C&T Corporation, “It is a privilege to continue to work with the NSW Government to deliver this crucial project, increasing local training opportunities and employment whilst addressing Sydney’s future transport needs.”
