Italian artistic and musical heritage projected on Sydney Opera House for “Visions of Vienna”

    Nathan Johnson

The video projection team behind some of the installations for Vivid Sydney has once again delivered a spectacular animation project for the city of Sydney and its beloved Opera House.

Projection designers Ample Projects worked with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Vienna Tourist Board to deliver “Visions of Vienna” on Wednesday, 4 February, a multi-media artistic collaboration which saw the artistic and musical heritage of Vienna visually celebrated and projected on to the 'sails' of the Sydney Opera House.

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra live in concert was combined with the visuals, which came from high-powered projectors shooting from specific projection locations so as to shoot over the ferries and cruise ships that come into the port.
