Five architecturally designed cubby houses competed for the title of Australia’s Best Cubby at Kids Under Cover’s 10th annual Cubby House Challenge. These cubby houses were assessed and awarded by an expert judging panel before being auctioned to support Kids Under Cover’s youth homelessness prevention initiatives.

The overall winner, Rocky Road, was auctioned for $20,500. The remaining cubby houses were auctioned for a combined $49,500.

“The funds raised from the auction of the cubbies will be invested into preventing youth homelessness through our Studio and Scholarship programs,” says Jo Swift, CEO of Kids Under Cover.

“The amount raised means we can provide secure backyard accommodation for up to three families over the studio’s lifetime, and complement this accommodation with the resources to continue young peoples’ education and training.
