ASUS announces the availability of the ZenWiFi BD4 Outdoor, a powerful, durable and extendable router designed to extend seamless, high-speed WiFi 7 connectivity to any outdoor environment.

The ZenWiFi BD4 Outdoor harnesses the power of cutting-edge WiFi 7 and next-gen AiMesh technologies to deliver wider coverage, a more stable and secure network, and a feature-rich experience.

Users can now securely connect outdoor cameras and IoT devices, or work remotely or stream content in their outdoor spaces, with the router ensuring ultrafast, smooth and secure WiFi 7 coverage for multiple devices and in any weather.

Speed and extendibility

The ZenWiFi BD4 Outdoor enables dual-band WiFi 7 speeds of up to 3600Mbps up to 2450 feet away, with Multi-Link Operation (MLO) for optimised connection stability and 4K-QAM for ultra-efficient data transmission. The AiMesh-powered technology boosts coverage up to 2530 square feet, with easy extendibility and seamless connectivity for compatible ASUS routers allowing you to extend your home network to cover more spaces.

Durable and flexible design

Designed for outdoor use in all seasons with an IP65-certified water-resistant and dustproof enclosure, the BD4 Outdoor offers -30°C to 60°C temperature tolerance, along with electrostatic discharge and surge protection. It allows streamlined one-cable installation thanks to Power over Ethernet (PoE+) support and two 2.5G PoE-in ports, each featuring auto WAN detection. The router can also be powered via an included AC adapter.

Outdoor security and smart control

The ZenWiFi BD4 Outdoor provides robust Triple-level Network Security, including commercial-grade AiProtection Pro, advanced parental controls, and pre-installed support for multiple popular VPN services that users can log into around the perimeter of their home through a dedicated SSID provided by the Smart Home Master feature. Users can establish up to three SSIDs, enabling them to easily manage security cameras or other IoT devices such as garage door openers, smart lights, and smart BBQ grills, and gain complete visibility and control over their home network.

The BD4 Outdoor provides versatile mounting solutions and hassle-free installation with the included mounting kits enabling easy deployment, efficient space utilisation, and greater flexibility for various types of outdoor scenarios.
