UniCote® LUX cladding adds depth and character to Drysdale aquatic centre’s innovative architecture

The North Bellarine Aquatic Centre (NBAC), located in Drysdale, Victoria, is a transformative community facility designed to enhance health and wellness. 

A standout feature is its UniCote® LUX cladding in Corten Red, offering the rich, rugged appearance of naturally weathered steel without the downsides of rust runoff or staining – an essential consideration for aquatic environments. 

The cladding not only adds depth and character to the design but also ensures exceptional durability and low maintenance, delivering a sleek, contemporary aesthetic that complements the centre's innovative architecture.

The facility features a heated 50-metre outdoor pool, with plans for an indoor aquatic centre in its second stage. By prioritising accessibility and forward-thinking design, NBAC serves as a vibrant hub for community engagement, providing a modern space to meet the diverse recreational needs of local residents. 

As construction progresses towards completion in late 2027, the centre symbolises the community's commitment to health, social interaction, and shared aspirational growth.
