Leading Australian LED company Brightgreen has released a new range of surface-mounted LED downlights featuring a slimline design to fit seamlessly into modern interiors.

Part of Brightgreen’s architectural lighting range, the new D900 S Curve is the first in a series of 50 redesigned products to be released by the company over the coming months. The Tru-Colour D900 S Curve’s slimline design offers an alternative to bulky surface-mounted lighting.

Brightgreen’s D900 S Curve has already won gold at the Melbourne Design Awards and Sydney Design Awards ahead of its release, and has been shortlisted for a London Design Award.

Ninety percent thinner than standard surface-mounted LED fittings, the D900 S Curve offers designers a pared back look that will fit seamlessly into modern interiors.

Key features and advantages of the D900 S Curve surface-mounted LED downlights include pure glass optics minimising glare and providing a smooth directional beam in either 40° or 25° angle options; 50% less energy requirement than recessed downlights; and surface-mounted design eliminating the need for cut-outs and gaps in insulation, and drastically reducing energy consumption associated with heating and cooling.

The D900 S Curve is Brightgreen’s first entirely carbon neutral design with its compact design offsetting the product’s already small embodied manufacturing and transportation footprint. Designed for hassle-free installation, the D900 S Curve features a 3-pin, twist-lock mounting system allowing the luminaire to be safely removed.

Key product features also include a high performance digital driver; direct wiring to AC power mains to reduce installation times by up to 50%; pure aluminium unibody engineered for passive thermal control; Tru-Colour technology; seamless integration with a range of dimmers and automation systems; and choice of black and white finishes.
