Cutting-edge pre-assembly facility boosts efficiencies at FORGE

For many decades, FORGE (formerly Fleetwood Urban) has pioneered the use of off-site pre-assembly techniques under stable and carefully controlled conditions, which remains at the heart of our proprietary delivery methodology.

Continuing our commitment to enhancing our pre-assembly capabilities, in October 2023, we officially moved into a new state-of-the-art facility in the northern suburbs of Geelong.

This move marks a significant milestone as our new facility boasts an impressive size, three times the area of our previous location. This expansion allows us to fuel our growth on the Eastern Seaboard to accommodate larger-scale projects, house advanced equipment, and streamline our workflow for even more efficient operations.

Furthermore, the strategic location not only positions us in close proximity to crucial suppliers and partners but also grants convenient access to major road transport routes.

Why do we continue to do pre-assembly?

1. Fully controllable lighting, work surfaces and conditions

2. Ability to assemble tall and/or complex structures safely at ground level

3. Undercover workspaces eliminate delays and dangers caused by bad weather

4. Less time on-site means less community disruption

5. Fewer crew members (and equipment) required on-site

6. Reduces installation schedules and drives cost savings.
