Doric Products presents the Ventus Plug & Play, an innovative range of window and door automation hardware that eliminates the need for electricians during the installation of automated windows and doors.

Consisting of a simple range of wireless controllers, switches and motors that can control up to eight windows and doors, the award-winning Ventus Plug & Play system designed by Doric Products helps reduce both installation cost and time.

Ventus Plug & Play is designed to assist builders meet regulatory and consumer demands for more sustainable buildings. Automated windows can be easily created to provide better passive ventilation and temperature control. Standalone sensors allow the windows to close during high wind and rain or when it’s dark, and can even be integrated with the air-conditioner so that windows are automatically closed when the unit is turned on.

“The ability to control a property’s environment without the need for artificial heating or cooling has become a priority for builders,” Verhaar said.

“The Ventus Plug & Play range allows builders to create windows in high, out-of-reach positions that can be opened at the touch of a button to let heat escape as it rises, or closed to stop the cold getting in.”

Architects can specify the Ventus Plug & Play system, which simplifies installation, commissioning and automation of windows for the fabricator who doesn’t need to outsource the complex work. Ventus Plug & Play, therefore, enables the fabricator to maintain control over the final outcome as well as cost.

The Ventus Plug & Play range is designed for easy retrofitting to any opening or frame system on the market.

“The system fills the void in the automation market: between the building management systems and the itemised auto products, serving as a perfect standalone control system,” Verhaar explained.

Ventus chainwinders can also easily replace old winders that have stopped working. The motors can even be operated by CBUS, BMS and other controllers.
