Tilt Industrial Design supplied a series of bi-folding screens for the Stokehouse restaurant in St Kilda, Melbourne. Tilt designed, manufactured and installed the bi-folding screens for the iconic restaurant’s rebuild project designed by Robert Simeoni Architects.

The screens have been installed outside the restaurant windows to provide protection from the sun; however, they can also be raised to highlight beautiful ocean views, meeting operable architecture principles.

To meet the demands of the harsh marine environment, the fabricated structural elements of the bi-folding screens have been made from marine grade stainless steel, assuring longevity and reliable performance.

The screens provide a distinctive yet functional façade that retains the character of the building while offering uninterrupted ocean views as well as comfort to patrons.
