Jackie Arter has been promoted to principal of people and culture at architecture and design practice Rothelowman. Joining the practice’s leadership team of 12 national principals, Arter brings specialised and strategic expertise that will ensure people and culture remain a core pillar of the firm.

"As we evolve our mode of practice and mature as an architecture and design firm, we are reimagining the traditional role of practice manager and doubling down on people and culture – as part of this evolution, we are delighted to announce Jackie’s position as principal of people and culture,” Rothelowman managing principal Nigel Hobart said.

“Jackie has a passion for professional development and unparalleled integrity and emotional intelligence. These traits coupled with her strategic insights and future outlooks in this space will guide our firm as we continue on this journey."

An integral part of the Rothelowman team for the last decade, Arter has spearheaded the practice’s evolution as a people-centric organisation.

"As principal, I'm committed to ensuring that the firm maintains a culture of inclusiveness and has established frameworks in place to do so. Our people are our most valued asset. They hold a wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience that, as a priority, should be fostered and grown. We strive to ensure that each individual feels a sense of purpose in our professional collective. We are proud that at Rothelowman people and culture is considered a business priority," Arter observed.

Jonathan Cowle, principal of national design added, "Intelligent design and prioritising a humanist agenda is critical to our work and the evolution of our cities. Jackie's appointment to principal signifies our commitment to making people and culture, and the professional development of our teams, a core pillar of our business as it is to our designs."
