Studio Nine Architects announces the appointment of Olivier Martin as its newest Associate, marking a significant addition to the firm’s architectural and leadership teams.

With more than ten years of experience delivering nationally recognised, award-winning projects across the residential, hospitality, and commercial sectors, Martin brings deep technical knowledge and a collaborative design approach that will further strengthen the studio’s creative and operational capabilities.

Beyond his design expertise, he is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of architects and designers, fostering a culture of openness, curiosity, and accountability within the studio. Known for his approachable and supportive guidance, he believes that strong leadership comes from setting a good example and creating space for others to grow.

Originally from Canada, Martin relocated to Australia in his teens and completed his architectural studies at the University of South Australia. His career has taken him from Sydney to Adelaide, where he developed a refined sensibility for detail, materiality, and craftsmanship at a respected local practice.

Since joining Studio Nine this year, he has contributed his expertise to a range of complex housing and hospitality projects.

His appointment marks an exciting evolution for Studio Nine Architects, reinforcing the firm’s ongoing commitment to values-led leadership, continual professional growth, and a purposeful approach to design and delivery.
