Leading architecture and interior design firm Carr announces the permanent relocation of Director Richard Beel to Brisbane, reinforcing its strategic growth across Queensland with strong leadership. Beel’s move follows the successful launch of Carr’s Brisbane studio and signals a deeper commitment to the region’s evolving built environment, especially ahead of the 2032 Olympic Games.

Supported by Associates Cara McIntyre and Will Simpson, Beel will spearhead Carr’s operations as the firm expands its integrated architecture and interior design capabilities throughout Southern Queensland, ensuring executive leadership on the ground while further strengthening client relationships and partnerships across the state. Carr is set to deliver significant multi-residential and master planning projects in the region, and has an impressive roster of clients.

It’s an exciting time to contribute to the city’s evolution and ensure Carr’s design values are embedded in each project from the outset,” says Beel, who brings over 20 years of experience in the design and delivery of architecture projects, both locally and internationally.
