Kim Small has joined Architectus as a Principal, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare planning and design. Her impressive portfolio includes the Canberra Hospital Expansion and the Prince of Wales Hospital Redevelopment.

“As a health design and planning specialist with nearly two decades of experience, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to major projects including the Canberra Hospital Expansion and the Prince of Wales Hospital Redevelopment,” says Small.

“I’m deeply passionate about patient-centred design and excited to bring that focus to my role at Architectus, helping to shape the future of healthcare environments and support the continued growth of the Health sector.

“I’m currently starting work on the Bankstown Hospital project and am genuinely excited by the opportunity to collaborate with the team to deliver a new facility that promotes healing, wellbeing, and a strong sense of community.”

Small is widely respected for her patient-centred approach and collaborative leadership style.

Wade Sutton also joins as a Principal, focusing on design, business development, and strategic sector growth.

With over 34 years of experience delivering major healthcare projects across Australia, Europe, and Africa, Sutton has worked extensively with NSW Health Infrastructure and co-led the development of the NSW Health Design Guide for Health, Spaces, Places, and Precincts.

He brings a strong track record of design excellence and strategic thinking to the practice.
