Major transport infrastructure specialist Amanda Yeates has been appointed by global built environment consultancy Arup as Roads and Streets Leader for Australia and New Zealand, reinforcing the firm’s focus on sustainable and efficient transport systems that deliver benefits for clients, communities and the environment. The appointment comes as the firm advances its strategic vision to shape more resilient, sustainable and people-focused places in the region.

Yeates joins Arup with more than 30 years of experience in public infrastructure and government leadership, bringing abundant expertise in delivering strategic, people-centred transport solutions. Her previous roles include CEO of SunCentral, where she led one of Australia’s largest greenfield city centre developments; and Deputy Director-General, Infrastructure Management & Delivery for Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads, overseeing the state’s multi-billion-dollar transport infrastructure program.
